Communique 244 - July 9, 2008

There has been some confusion recently regarding the delivery of the Communique. The Communique will always be sent by a member of the Kansas Area Marketing and Communications staff. Please check that the following e-mail addresses are listed in your e-mail contacts so the Communique will go directly into your “In” box instead of your “Spam” or “Bulk” boxes.

Lisa Elliott Diehl, ldiehl@kswestumc.org
Susan Cooper, scooper@kswestumc.org
Britt Bradley,
bbradley@kswestumc.org
Beverly Fanestil, bfanestil@kswestumc.org

The Communique’s publication schedule is weekly on Wednesday. Occasionally, the Communique may be sent Tuesday or Thursday or may not be published due to a holiday, Annual Conference or other circumstance.

As a general practice, if you do not receive the Communique by Thursday evening, please check your spam or bulk mailboxes.

And be sure to add the e-mail addresses listed above to prevent future blocking of the Communique.

Also, please note that the subject line for the Communique will be:

Kansas East Conference Communique [issue number] – [publication date]

All Communique issues are archived online at http://kesite.brickriver.com/newsletter_find.asp in case you miss an issue.

“Journey of Hope,” Oct. 11 at Countryside UMC in Topeka, will provide training to minister to cancer patients and their families. Today almost everyone knows someone with cancer—a family member, friend, coworker or neighbor.

This training is relevant to anyone who knows someone with cancer but is especially important for parish nurses, Stephen’s ministers, or anyone who does visitation.
